As an extremely busy period comes to a close, we thought we’d take a look at the people that make everything work day in day out, and the vital impact that everyone plays in achieving high quality and speedy delivery.
Our first focus is our runners. As orders pile up and stores hit their rush period, seconds turn quickly into minutes as time accumulates. This effect is clear to see in deliveries, as a finite number of drivers attempt to handle an ever increasing number of deliveries. In order to ease this impact and keep our delivery times up, runners take pizzas from the store to our drivers, saving precious seconds. To give a simple example of how vital this job is, by saving one minute per delivery during the Euro 2020 Final, we were able to save a combined 3 and a half days of delivery time across all our stores.
The smallest details make a huge difference, particularly in a work environment as Domino’s. Our staff wear many hats over a shift; cutting pizzas, checking orders, topping, and much more. When each of these activities come together, you have a team capable of handling anything which is thrown at them.
